Location :The Golden Temple is a Historical place in India.It is located in Holy city of Sikhs, Amritsar District of Punjab (India). It is famous Historical as well religious place because its walls are covered with gold which increase its beauty.


History : It is spiritual  place of Sikhism. The Golden Temple (Gurdwara) is build around a man-made pool (Sarovar) that was completed by the 4th Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das in 1577. Guru Arjan, the 5th Guru of Sikhim, requested Sai Mir Mian Mohammed, a Muslim Pir of Lahore, to lay its foundation stone in 1589. 

Famous for : One of the famous thing that it is a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. Everybody, irrespective of cast, creed or race can seek spiritual solace and religious fulfilment without any hindrance. It is also represents the distint identity, glory and heritage of the Sikhs.

                                                                                    
Golden Temple

Free Food (Langar) : Gurdwara serve Free Food to all visited people (Sangat).It is said that on a normal day, more than 50,000-60,000 people eat Langar at Golden Temple, and during religious gatherings, the number may spike up to 100,000. The meals are simple and vegetarian, with a usual serving of pickle, rotis(bread), dal(lentils), and kheer (rice pudding).

  Guru ka Lahore ( Himachal Pradesh ) -History:  "Guru ka Lahore" is the place where the 10th "Guru Gobind Singh" ji came for her own marriage on date 23 July 1734. The name of this place is also given by them " Guru ka Lahore" but actually Lahore is situated in Pakistan.
